Thank you!
Your time, energy, physical, and financial contributions enable us to create together consistent, continued programs and cultivate new services as community needs arise!
We are sincerely thankful for those who have supported us and watched us grow since 2017! It is because of you that we can support stronger families and more resilient children.
Help us continue to fill the Existing Gap in Needed Services
At Encompass Adoptees, we are dedicated to providing vital support and consistent programming for adopted, fostered, kinshipped (AFK) individuals and their families. Our programs are created based on requests from individuals and families in our community. OhioKAN currently sponsors services for adoptive parents, but we are still seeking support for services specifically for those with lived experience (AFK individuals), such as mentoring, and our youth & teen programs. These programs rely on the generosity of donors like you. Your contributions directly fund support programs and services that make a meaningful difference in the lives of our community. Encompass Adoptees is a 501c3 nonprofit, and donations are eligible for tax deduction. Donations can be made here or via check to 122 S Terrace Ave, Columbus, OH 43204
Donate Supplies, Art Materials, or Books:
Whether it’s buying art supplies & games for youth, providing educational materials and books for parents, supporting a functioning office & clean workspace, bringing in professional speakers for special lectures and therapeutic workshops, or funding maintenance and building projects - Your support helps provide direct resources that encourage and strengthen families within our community.
Art
A large part of what we do in our Encompass youth program revolves around the arts. We offer a variety of expressive and artistic experiences, including painting, clay, felting, print making, poetry, music, and story writing. The arts allow us to express ourselves, explore, share & be part of a team, build a positive identity, and have fun. We strive to offer activities that are challenging, unique, and new; this requires a wide range of materials and supplies and increases the overall cost.
Books
Both new and used books in good condition help us offer a resource library for parents as well as adult adoptees & foster alum. We collect books referencing adoption, foster care, grief and loss, attachment, trauma & neglect, resiliency, as well as anthologies, and memoirs by those with lived experience.
Cleaning Supplies
Cleaning supplies are used to maintain a small office and support group meeting space, as well as a clean and safe space for our youth and teen programming. Paper towels, hand sanitizer, soap, and disinfectant wipes are always helpful.
