Join us for relaxing, sharing and enjoying nature together! The house we have rented is nestled in the woods, has a huge kitchen with a dining table that seats at least 12, 2 huge living area spaces, and a wrap around porch.
Cost is $35/person
Starting on Friday at noon, and leave as you need on Saturday.
On Friday:
-Anytime after 1pm arrive and settle in.
-Afternoon options: Hiking- for those who want o go on a nature hike there are trails of various lengths within driving distance.
- 3:30 there will be a group nature & art activity.
- 5pm Community Dinner -(potluck style) there is a grill, oven and we can cook food on the fire too. ***please write in comments below what you will be bringing so we do not get multiples of one dish***
- 7pm After dinner we will have a time of sharing / show and tell around the camp fire- Those who wish can bring an item (not a picture) from your journey of processing your adoption/foster experiences to share with the group . For this discussion we are looking for items to be part of a healing and betterment story which will likely include hardships. But we want to focus, as a group, on our progress and accomplishments and not things that demonstrate our losses or traumas only. Note- This is not about gratitude! it is about taking a minute to see each other and to honor our process of finding words, of our open wounds turning into scars, and about our courage and strength along this journey!
On Saturday: Optional Morning trauma informed yoga 9 am, followed by making our own calming essential oil rollers, and general morning coffee hang out time with each other before we pack up and leave around 11am for lunch..
-For those who want to join, some of us will be going out to lunch at Brassica in Bexley on the way home. This street in Lancaster has lots of little shops and cafes, a local food market and a cute used bookstore for anyone interested it hanging around and extending their day.
Sleeping arrangements: There are 7 beds and plenty of room on the floor for sleeping bags. We will have 1 room (2 beds) for the men to share. Women will share 4 rooms (total of 5 beds) and the floor both in these rooms and in the living room. The beds were first come first serve (because there is no real easy way to do this).
